Malaysia – Digital Technologies Seniors Program

The Digital Technologies Seniors Program (DTSP) is a Fondation Rolf Schnyder initiative. This program, co-developed by Fondation Rolf Schnyder and Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak, Malaysia, bridges the generational gap between youth and senior citizens through technology coaching and reciprocal mentorship. Through this program, youths from Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak are coached and empowered to create training modules and coach senior citizens in the usage of technology and mobile devices and, in return, receive mentorship from the senior citizens.

As such, every member is inculcated with ownership in this community-impacting programme that results in the enrichment of both youth and senior citizens. This results in a sustainable programme as a support eco-system is built between the youth and the senior citizens. The Digital Technologies Seniors Program (DTSP) was officially launched in November 2021. KPWK Minister YB Dato Sri Hajah Fatimah Abdullah endorsed and supports this programme in alignment with her Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development (KPWK)’s mandate to sustain community wellbeing for a dignified existence for all.
